Washington DC – Medical Network Devoted to Service (MiNDS) received an award from the United States Department of State for their contribution to international peace and understanding. MiNDS is a network of physicians who are devoted to serving the uninsured and the underinsured in communities by providing free, immediate and comprehensive medical and healthcare services.Some of the services provided to patients are: sub-specialty office consultations, laboratory work, diagnostic testing such as X-Ray, CT, MRI , echocardiograms, nerve conduction studies, electromyography and electroencephalogram
In early June 2012, Dr. Taif Kaissi and Dr. Faisal Qazi were honored to present at the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health at a conference on the topic of Spirituality and Mental Illness. It appears as though LA County may adopt some of their best practices. MINDS has events all over the United States and Canada.
